Frequently Asked Questions

A chiropractor treats joint, muscle, and movement problems, with particular attention to the spine and nervous system. Treatment may include adjustments, soft-tissue therapy, and exercises to help reduce pain and improve mobility.

As a holistic healthcare provider, Dr. Ling takes an individualized, whole-person approach, considering your health history, daily activities, and personal goals. He incorporates low-force techniques, including Sacro Occipital Technic (SOT®), with attention to the spine, pelvis, and cranial structures. He also considers symptoms involving visceral organs and coordinates with other providers when needed. Acupuncture and rehab exercises may complement your care.

Dr. Ling is an out-of-network provider. We recognize that high deductibles and rising copays can make healthcare costs challenging. Our self-pay approach allows us to offer clear pricing and focus treatment recommendations tailored to your needs, preferences, and goals.

We are happy to provide a superbill, which is an itemized receipt with the information your insurance company may need, to submit for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Coverage varies by plan, and reimbursement is not guaranteed. We recommend checking your benefits directly with your insurer.

If you have questions about pricing or how superbills work, please reach out. We are happy to help you understand your options before scheduling.

Your first visit begins with a conversation about your chief complaints, health history, daily activities, and goals, followed by an examination tailored to your situation.

Dr. Ling will explain his findings and discuss your options, which may include chiropractic care, acupuncture, or a combination. If additional testing or evaluation by another provider is appropriate, he will explain why and help guide your next steps.

You will have time to ask questions and share your preferences so you feel informed and comfortable with your care plan.

Every patient is unique. The number and frequency of your visits depend on your condition, how long you have had symptoms, your goals, and how well you respond to treatment. Dr. Ling usually begins with a conservative treatment plan, which may include an initial course of 6-12 visits when appropriate. This is not a minimum requirement; some patients need fewer visits, while others benefit from longer care. Your progress is reviewed throughout treatment, with visits becoming less frequent as you improve.

Our goal is to help you become as self-sufficient as possible in managing your health through education, home exercises, and self-care strategies. Once your goals are met, you may choose to conclude treatment or transition to occasional maintenance visits. This could range from monthly appointments to only once or twice per year, depending on your needs, preferences, and continued benefit from care.

If you are not making meaningful progress, we will reassess your plan, coordinate with another provider, or consider a referral or imaging when appropriate. Your care is a partnership, and you will be involved in every decision.
